Vince McMahon is focused on XFL: Is the Reigns of Terror on its way to being over?

Chris Graham

vince mcmahonVince McMahon wasn’t at the gorilla position at Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, according to published reports.

Triple H and Billy Kidman ran the show in McMahon’s absence, which is why the show ended with the ironman match between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins, and not the Roman Reigns-Bobby Lashley match that had been slated to close out the show.

OK, so I can tell you’re wanting to get excited. The thinking being, Hey, it’s happening again, you’re thinking. McMahon is letting himself get consumed with XFL nonsense, and, sure, it’s not going to work out any better this time than it did last, but in the meantime, we get WWE back!

A lot of that is truth. McMahon is now reportedly committing $500 million to the XFL, which, damn, he really wants to lose $500 million on minor-league football. He only lost $70 million on the first go-round, but, go big or go home, right?

Thinking back to how spectacular that first failure was, and ahead to how he’s putting seven times that money into the fireplace and striking the match, yeah, his attention is going to be there for the foreseeable.

But, some water for your fire.

Straight from Dave Meltzer, who knows stuff.

Seems that you’re stuck with Reigns as the not-ever-going-to-be-over top dog no matter who’s in charge.

Sorry for your damn luck.
