N.C. State got a big-time performance from star guard Dennis Smith Jr. and won its home conference opener over #23 Virginia Tech, 104-78.
Smith Jr. registered his first career triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. It’s only the second triple-double in N.C. State history. Terry Henderson would pour in 22 points for the Pack.
Ahmed Hill led the Hokies with 17 points.
