VCU gets 22 from Joe Bamisile, defeats Miami, 77-70, in Charleston Classic

Joe Bamisile scored 22 points, and Max Shulga messed around and almost put up a triple-double, to spark VCU to a 77-70 win over Miami on the final day of the Charleston Classic on Sunday.

Shulga finished with 18 points, nine assists and eight rebounds for VCU (5-2), which saw Bamisile go 9-of-17 from the floor and 4-of-10 from three in the win.

Zeb Jackson came off the bench to chip in 12 points and three rebounds for VCU.

Virginia Tech transfer Lynn Kidd led Miami (3-3) with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
