UVA Lacrosse: James Pannell to miss rest of season with knee injury

uva lacrosseDue to a knee injury suffered Thursday in practice, UVA junior attackman James Pannell will miss the remainder of the 2015 season.

“We are here to support James throughout his rehabilitation,” said Virginia men’s lacrosse head coach Dom Starsia. “He will continue to assume a leadership role during this period.”

Pannell (Smithtown, N.Y.) was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after his six-goal performance against then-No. 8 Cornell. Pannell has started all six of UVa’s games and concludes the season with 11 goals and four assists.

In 37 career games Pannell has tallied 57 goals and 73 career points.
