Wideouts Trell Harris and Kam Courtney, edge rusher Maddox Marcellus and defensive tackle Hunter Osborne are the big names new to the UVA Football transfer portal list.

The portal formally opened on Friday.

Harris, a junior, was the team’s leading receiver in 2025, with 59 catches on 83 targets for 847 yards.

Courtney, a sophomore, was the guy I was expecting to step up as the primary slot guy, with Cam Ross having exhausted his eligibility.

Courtney had 25 catches on 37 targets for 234 yards in 2025.

Ross had 53 catches on 79 targets for 543 yards and two TDs in 2025.

The other 2025 option in the slot, Suderian Harrison (two catches in 2025), had signaled his intention to hit the portal ahead of the Gator Bowl.

No word on the status of Jahmal Edrine, who had 46 catches on 71 targets for 564 yards and a TD in 2025.

On defense, I particularly hate losing Marcellus, who logged 334 snaps, with 45 tackles, 11 QB pressures, three sacks, two pass breakups and an INT in 2025.

Osborne was a rotation guy at DT, getting 271 snaps in the interior, with 14 tackles, four QB pressures and a sack.

Grady Brosterhous, well down the depth chart at QB, who missed the 2025 season with injury, also hit the portal, meaning, no more Grady Bunch.

One other name hitting the portal today: Stevie Bracey, a linebacker who only got on the field for three snaps in 2025, after logging 186 snaps combined in 2022 and 2023.
