UVa. football season tickets go on sale Friday

uva-logo-new2Season tickets for UVa. football’s 2014 seven-game home schedule will be on sale for renewals and new buyers beginning Friday, March 7.  The priority ordering deadline is Friday, April 18.

Virginia opens the 2014 season on Aug. 30 against UCLA.  The Cavaliers also host non-conference home games against Richmond and Kent State (Sept. 27).

UVa’s ACC home schedule begins on Sept. 13 against Louisville.  Pittsburgh (Oct. 4), North Carolina (Oct. 25) and Miami (Nov. 22) also visit Scott Stadium during the 2014 season. The game against North Carolina is the annual Homecomings contest.  Kickoff times will be announced at a later date.

Virginia returns 56 total lettermen, including seven starters on offense, nine starters on defense and its kicking specialists, for the 2014 season.

The Cavaliers’ 2014 recruiting class consists of 17 newcomers, including spring semester enrollees Andrew Brown and Jake Fieler. Brown was honored as the 2013 Gatorade National High School Player of the Year and one of five signees named to the ESPN 300 rankings. Virginia’s class was ranked 25th nationally by ESPN.

Season tickets are offered at four price levels based on seating location at Scott Stadium: $316, $278, $221 and $181. UVa faculty and staff may purchase up to four season tickets at a 20 percent discount.  A payment plan option is available for all four price levels that spreads out payments for up to five months.

Lower and upper level sideline season tickets are available for $316 plus an annual donation to the Virginia Athletics Foundation.  The donation for some seat locations in those areas is $50 per seat.

Lower level end zone season tickets are available for $278 while upper level end zone season tickets are priced at $221 and $181 for all seven home games.  A donation is not required to purchase season tickets in these areas.

Additional season ticket holders benefits include discounted pricing compared to the single-game ticket price, preferred seating location options within each price level, and the ability to purchase reserved parking for the season.

Fans have two opportunities to watch the team during spring practice.  Virginia’s practice on Saturday, March 22 will be open to the public. The practice is scheduled tostart at 10:30 a.m. and will be held at Scott Stadium.

The Cavaliers will hold their annual Orange-Blue spring football game on Saturday, April 12 at Scott Stadium. The game will start at 1 p.m. Gates will open at 11 a.m. with interactive games on the field and in the pergola plaza above the north end zone. Admission and parking are free for both events.
