Grad transfer Romi Levy put up a triple-double – 14 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists – to pace Virginia to a 94-47 win over Longwood on Thursday night.

Levy, a native of Israel, who played at Auburn for two seasons, with a medical redshirt in between, then was at South Florida the past two seasons, became the third Cavalier in program history to record a triple double, joining Kymora Johnson and Dawn Staley in the record books.

“Honestly, I didn’t even think about it,” said Levy, who is averaging 8.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season for UVA (4-1). “I think I’m going to stay humble, keep working. The two other people that were before me are better, and I have to work up to their level. There’s a lot of work to do, and I can get much better. I’m grateful to be here. I’m grateful that I accomplished that, but I couldn’t do it without my teammates.”

Johnson scored 23 points to lead Virginia in scoring in the win.

Another grad transfer, Caitlin Weimer, had 15 points and 12 boards.

“That was a great game for us, on both sides of the ball. I thought we dominated,” UVA coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton said. “We were poised against the press. That’s a team that turns people over. We took care of the ball. Longwood, they pressed for 40 minutes, and we knew that coming in, and I just was really proud of our growth and the way that we handled that.”
