UVA Baseball: Catching up with former ‘Hoos in MLB, MiLB

We’re a little past halfway through the 2025 MLB and MiLB seasons, and because it’s raining everywhere tonight, I decided today was the day to look up the numbers of the UVA Baseball alums still plying their trade across the diaspora.

Starting with Andrew Abbott, who is in the midst of a career year, in his third MLB season, all with the Cincinnati Reds.

Abbott, who was the ace of the 2021 UVA team that made a surprise run to the College World Series, is 7-1 with a 1.79 ERA/1.02 WHIP, and 76K/22BB in 80.1 IP.

Abbott is 25-17 with a 3.30 ERA/1.24 WHIP in his three seasons in MLB.
