Remember how our congressman, Ben Cline, was a throaty supporter of Matt Gaetz when Donald Trump put the former Florida congressman up to be the attorney general last year?

Let me remind you:

“He is a warrior against the weaponization of the Justice Department and the lawfare that’s been waged by the Biden administration. So, he knows exactly what has to happen to the Justice Department to fix it,” Cline told the far-right One America News back in November, speaking of his MAGA buddy from the back bench in Congress.

Ahem, there’s news today on Matt Gaetz, who did not, as it turns out, become the attorney general – even Trump backed off pushing for a guy who the House Ethics Committee found sex-trafficked a 17-year-old high school junior, and only avoided prosecution by the Biden Justice Department because the feds didn’t want to look like they were being political in going after him.

Newly-unsealed documents tell us that the 17-year-old in the sex-trafficking story was homeless, and had sex with Gaetz for money so that she could buy braces to straighten her teeth.

This is the guy that Donald Trump, and our Ben Cline, wanted to be the AG.

“She was 17 and a high school junior in Florida. She was working at McDonald’s. And she was living in and out of a homeless shelter,” the New York Times reported, the news story based on documents from a civil case that were unsealed last month.

The teen, “hoping to save up to buy braces to fix her teeth,” advertised herself on a sugar-daddy dating website, and connected with Joel Greenberg, a friend of Gaetz who allegedly paid the girl $400 for sexual encounters.

Per the documents, the teen had two sexual encounters with Gaetz and was paid $400.

Gaetz has denied any wrongdoing.

Braces, man.
