Tyler Wilson shines in Baltimore win

tyler wilsonUVA alum Tyler Wilson had the best outing of his MLB career, holding the Boston Red Sox to three hits in eight scoreless innings in a 5-1 Baltimore win Thursday.

David Ortiz hit a homer off O’s reliever Brad Brach with two outs in the ninth to break up the shutout.

Manny Machado (.308/.373/.601) had three hits for Baltimore, which retakes a one-game lead over Boston (37-28) in the American League East.
