Tree removal Wednesday on Route 29 in Albemarle County

route 29The Virginia Department of Transportation will close the southbound left lane on Route 29 (Seminole Trail) in northern Albemarle County from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, weather permitting, for removal of a large oak tree that poses a hazard to the roadway.

The work will occur in the Route 29 median just south of the intersection of Route 1575 (Austin Drive). Southbound motorists should keep right and expect minor delays during work hours.
