The Virginia Department of Transportation will close a portion of Route 625 (Harman Road) under the Interstate 81 northbound overpass for bridge beam maintenance work in Shenandoah County.

The work begins Monday, Aug. 26, and will continue Mondays through Thursdays for approximately three weeks beginning at 4 p.m. and concluding by 7 a.m. the next day.

Traffic will detour at Route 642 to Route 657 to Route 11.

The work on the I-81 northbound bridge at Route 625 will include flagging operations as well as alternating lane closures using a traditional work zone traffic pattern.

All work is weather permitting.
