Controlled industrial blasting operations will begin Monday at the previous site of the P. Buckley Moss Museum near the Town Center in Waynesboro.

The blasting will take place through Sept. 6 on the private property between Ladd Convenience Store and Shenandoah Village Drive.

The operations will take place each weekday from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. There will be no operations on Saturday or Sunday.

During this time frame, this area of the P. Buckley Moss Highway will be closed.

The blasts post no danger to the public, according to the Waynesboro Police Department.

An alternate route during the designated times is recommended as delays are expected.

The property is the future home of approximately 250 apartments and some business outparcels, according to Leslie Tate, director of community development with the City of Waynesboro.
