Tony Wright: The downfall of a once-great nation

We were always claimed to have been a “Christian nation” despite our faults, but when you look back over the last 50 years, the chiseling away has taken place, and as the chiseling of the foundations were chipped away, the church was silent!

First, prayer was taken out of schools, and the “separation of church/state” myth was brought forth and accepted. Lie number one swallowed.

Then in 1973 Roe vs. Wade was passed, and while the “pro-choice Lie” was swallowed, we’ve watched over 50 million babies sacrificed to the “god of choice,” and the church was silent.

Divorce in the church has about equaled that outside in the world? Instead of being instructed in the way of righteousness, we’ve went ahead hook, line and sinker!

I’m not even going to get into states that have allowed “same-sex marriage.”

I’ll close for now, hoping you enjoyed the façade called Independence Day; we lost it long ago! If only my great-grandson would have lived it instead of read about the great nation that his grandparents grew up in? As President Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.” What a profound thought!
