WWE has been drawing more viewers for its “NXT” brand on The CW on Tuesdays than AEW has been getting with its lead weekly show “Dynamite” on Wednesdays.
And now there is talk that a WWE partner, TNA Wrestling, might be moving to The CW, which could result in a head-to-head battle for TNA’s weekly show, “Impact,” with “Dynamite” on Wednesdays.
TNA is seeking a modest annual deal in the $10 million range – that ain’t even modest; that’s prudish – for 52 weeks of “Impact.”

The company would obviously lose buckets of money just on production at that contract rate, which hints to WWE and its parent company, TKO, being willing to kick in a subsidy to provide weekly competition for AEW.
F**kers.
The latest to provide inside info on this is Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI, who wrote on Thursday that “The CW’s interest in the promotion is legitimate, and that some WWE stakeholders would like TNA to be a part of the network.”
Tony Khan signed a five-year deal with WBD that paid $43 million a year when he launched AEW in 2019, and lost gobs of money even at $43 million a year.
Khan re-upped with WBD last year with a new five-year deal at $150 million a year, which might make money, just to share how much it costs to run one of these companies.
And somehow TNA can afford to do WWE’s bidding for $10 million a year.
They’re suckers if they do it, which means, they’re going to do it.
