What do you think of the new direction for Kane, who has gone from escapee from hell to a suit-wearing member of The Authority? Mick Foley still isn’t sure that he likes the new Kane, but sees potential.
“I remember talking with him a couple years ago, and he mentioned that he felt like he needed to shift gears; that his current character had grown stale – as all characters do, if not occasionally tweaked,” Foley wrote on his Facebook blog.
The new corporate Kane is more than a tweak. Gone is the mask and the long hair, replaced with a shaved head and a three-piece suit that Foley said actually fits the real-life Glenn Jacobs better anyway.
“Kane is an absolutely brilliant guy; someone who has used his 17 years on the road to study world history and politics – and I can easily foresee a political career in his future,” Foley wrote. “Imagine being the candidate who has to debate a six foot nine inch monster, with that voice, and a deep knowledge of EVERYTHING. Maybe this director of operations thing will make the transition easier for him.”
