A country-music revue, The Ghosts of Music City USA, will replace the production of Patsy … Honky Tonk Angel on the lineup at the Theater at Lime Kiln in Lexington.

Lime Kiln board president Joanne Peretti said the Cline tribute has been canceled after unforeseen legal complications arose during the rehearsal period. “Unresolved licensing issues between the estate of Patsy Cline and the playwrights necessitated this action,” Peretti said.

Patsy … Honky Tonk Angel ticket holders will be offered tickets to The Ghosts of Music City USA or refunds, executive director Kim Renz said.

The Ghosts of Music City USA was inspired byu George Leonard’s song “Music City USA” about a young singer’s plans to make it back in Nashville. It stars Marla Palma and Brian Blickle, who had been the leads in Patsy … Honky Tonk Angel.

Performances are scheduled for July 11-12 and July 18-19 at 7:30 p.m. each night at Lime Kiln.

Tickets for The Ghosts of Music City USA are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and $12 for students.

For purchasing and more information, call the Theater at Lime Kiln office at 540.463.7088.
