312_stopthepresses.jpgReasons to be Thankful
My wife, Crystal.
My puppy dog, Benzi.
My health.
Yeah, my health.

I was able to play basketball in a rec league this fall.
I missed the three-pointer that would have sent our playoff game to overtime. But I’m thankful that I had the chance there.
(I guess.)
I have a lot of friends.
I’m in a new place downtown.
I’ve said since I was 6 that I want to be president. I still have an outside shot.
(And sometimes it actually falls through the net. I’m still not over that playoff game.)
I have four adorable nieces and one hearty nephew.
And they all like it when I talk like Scooby Doo.
I have my hair – all of it, still, at age 35.
I’m losing weight – again.
I do that every couple of years.
My first new car is still on the road all these many years later.
(Ten of them, in fact.)
My view outside my office window.
I look across the street through a tree with a bird feeder at an art museum.
Not bad for musing.
I could go on – but turkey is on my mind.
The hunger instinct is still working.
Thankful to be alive, I am.
