Suspicious fire in Staunton: Police seek public help

policecar3The Staunton Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in a suspicious fire investigation.

On Wednesday at 12:55 am, the Staunton Police Department and Staunton Fire Department responded to 112 Hamrick Street in reference to a suspicious fire. It has been determined that the fire was intentionally started. Although the house was considered vacant, investigators believe that someone might have been staying in the home.

Anyone with any knowledge of the occupants of this residence or this incident is asked to call either the Staunton Police Department at 540-332-3842 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-322-2017.
