Stuart Hall School introduces new merit scholarships

stuart hall School today announced the availability of two $10,000 merit scholarships available to new day students in rising 6th-12th grades.

stuart hallThrough this scholarship program, stuart hall strives to recognize boys and girls who exemplify what it is to be a great student, and who will thrive in its academically-challenging and stimulating community. The stuart hall Merit Scholarships will be awarded annually to students who meet or exceed academic and character requisites.

“This scholarship presents a wonderful opportunity for stuart hall School to expand the educational resources available to highly-motivated students in our community,” said Mark Eastham, Head of School for stuart hall School. “Recipients will be chosen based on their leadership skills, academic achievements and their ability to demonstrate potential for positive contribution to our school.”

While most of stuart hall School’s financial aid comes in the form of need-based grants, merit scholarships are offered to further assist families in providing their children with an outstanding school experience and to recognize students who have excelled in their academic and personal lives. As a college-preparatory school whose graduates attend some of the best universities in the country, stuart hall provides an opportune environment for academically focused students to thrive. Students who receive one of the school’s merit scholarships will be expected to maintain high GPA and above-average extracurricular involvement.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must complete both the traditional application for admission and a supplemental scholarship application. stuart hall School will begin accepting applications for the merit scholarship on January 15th. Recipients are not precluded from obtaining additional financial assistance should the family qualify for financial aid.
