A big message of love joins the Queen City Mischief & Magic‘s 10th anniversary through the weekend.

With a few “magical” touches in the spirit of the weekend festival, Virginia’s traveling LOVEworks sign was installed yesterday in the Wharf District of Staunton, just in time for Harry Potter fun.

As an extension of iconic “Virginia is for Lovers” campaign, the LOVEworks program is designed to promote tourism in Virginia. More than 300 signs are displayed in the Commonwealth, include the giant LOVE letters alongside Byers Street in downtown Staunton in front of Essentially Zen Artisan Bath & Gifting Co., which is owned by Sherrie and Robert Brown.

“This will be our third year hosting the LOVEworks sign on the Wharf for QCMM and with the help of festival founder Sarah Lynch, the QCMM team, Virginia Tourism, and our incredible business neighbors on the Wharf, we love it has become an added tradition to an already incredible weekend for Staunton,” Robert Brown said.

The LOVE sign will be on display at the Wharf through Monday, September 29. Staunton residents, visitors and tourists are encouraged to post photos on social media with the LOVE sign and use hashtags #LOVEVA, #LOVESTAUTON and #QCMM2025 or to tag @visitvirginia, @visitstaunton, or @queencitymagicsva.
