Part of Route 211 (Lee Highway) in Shenandoah County will be restricted to one lane in each direction June 30 – July 2, 2014, while crews replace a pipe under the roadway. The location is along a three-lane stretch of the road about 0.3 miles west of Route 674 (Run Away Lane) near New Market. The work zone is on a steep mountain grade, and motorists are advised to use caution through this area.
Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 30, the westbound lane of Route 211 will be closed. The two eastbound lanes will accommodate both directions of traffic from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Flagging crews will control traffic during those hours.
The pipe replacement is expected to be complete by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2. All work is weather permitting.
