The Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center is in urgent need of fosters and adopters for more than 30 dogs rescued from two separate animal control cases.

While it is good news that the animals have been removed from bad conditions, this has doubled the capacity at the shelter.

The dogs are friendly, according to SVASC, and have received core vaccinations and been checked out by a veterinarian.

Staff and volunteers have been taking care of the animals for the past three weeks in two separate shelter locations.

“It’s been amazing to watch these animals turn from frightened to social and healthy so quickly,” said Jon Hilbert, shelter director. “It would be even more amazing to see these animals thrive in caring homes.”

SVASC is located at 1001 Mt. Torrey Rd in Lyndhurst.
