shenandoah u logoShenandoah University men’s basketball coach announced this week that Dominic Parker has been added to his staff as the full-time assistant coach.

Parker comes to Shenandoah after serving as an assistant coach at Richard Bland College in Petersburg for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.

Parker helped RBC to the 2015 NJCAA Division II national championship after winning the Region X title. Prior to his experience at Richard Bland, he served as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, Virginia State University, in 2012-13.

“Dominic stood out among all of the coaches that were interested in the position,” Pryor said.

“His enthusiasm for the game is evident. He is a high-energy guy that is going to be great on the court and on the recruiting trail.

“I also love the fact that he comes from a winning program. We are building our program and his experience with successful programs is going to be invaluable.”

Parker started his full-time duties August 1.
