Shannon launches TV ads in local markets

Attorney-general candidate Steve Shannon launched two television ads in the Charlottesville and Harrisonburg media markets today. The ads highlight Shannon’s experience as a prosecutor and his plans to improve public safety in Virginia.

The first ad, titled “Focused,” highlights Shannon’s experience as one of the founders of Virginia’s first Amber Alert program, a public safety initiative that uses media to help recover abducted children, as well as his record as a Virginia state prosecutor.

The second ad, “We Know,” outlines Shannon’s aggressive plan for cracking down on Internet crimes against children.

More than 40 law-enforcement and first-response leaders and organizations, including the Virginia Police Benevolent Association, have endorsed Shannon.

Shannon has also accepted the endorsements of prominent Virginia business groups. The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the Virginia Association of Realtors, the Virginia Credit Union League, and the Virginia Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors have all split their tickets, endorsing Shannon and at least one statewide Republican candidate.
