‘Saturday Special’ performances in Downtown Waynesboro

Chris Graham

The Wayne Theatre Alliance will offer “Saturday Special” performances for children on Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Awarding winner storyteller, Barbara Spilman Lawson, will bring her fun-filled performance for the whole family to downtown Waynesboro.

Barbara has entertained thousands of students, teachers, and families up and down the East Coast with her wild and wacky, interactive presentations. Her award-winning shows are high-energy, and exciting with a double dip of fun. A talented singer, actress and author, Lawson creates an action-packed program guaranteed to entertain preschool children through adults.

The “Saturday Special” will feature Lawson‘s ‘Stories with a Twist’, a collection of engaging tales that incorporate the audience into the magic of theatre. Clair Myers, Executive Director of the Wayne Theatre Alliance said, “Barbara Lawson’s lively presentations are an ideal way to expose children to the magic of live performance. They are a celebration of the power of imagination for all ages.”

The program at 329 W. Main St. in Downtown Waynesboro will last approximately 30 minutes. Children will have the opportunity to interact with Barbara after the performance.

The “Saturday Special” is made possible through a grant from the Waynesboro Exchange Club.

Seating is limited. Admission is “Pay what you will”. No reservations
