Rockies rock Tillman, Orioles, 6-3

baltimore oriolesChris Tillman was hit hard by Colorado, and Baltimore fell to the Rockies, 6-3, on Tuesday night at Camden Yards.

Tillman (14-3, 3.47 ERA, 1.22 WHIP) gave up six runs on nine hits in five innings of work, striking out four.

UVA alum Tyler Wilson (4-6, 4.98 ERA, 1.32 WHIP), just called back up from Triple-A Norfolk, put up four perfect innings of relief for the O’s (58-41), striking out three.

Chad Bettis (9-6, 5.19 ERA, 1.45 WHIP) got the win for Colorado (48-52), giving up two runs on four hits in six innings, striking out three and walking three.

Adam Jones (.266/.313/.445, 18 HR, 58 RBI) hit a two-run homer for Baltimore in the fifth.
