The Roanoke Pinball Museum turns 10 on June 19, and the museum is marking the occasion with a reduced daily fee to play the 70 machines representing every era of pinball, dating back to the 1940s.

“Our museum is like a time machine of interactive amusement and pop art, which you can play,” said Nic Schell, executive director of the museum, which opened in 2015 at Center in the Square in Roanoke, and drew more than 25,000 visitors last year.

The museum is set for a big expansion in 2025, with construction underway to add additional machines, art, decorations and fun enhancements.

“We have pinball machines dating from 1947 through today, including our newest addition, a deluxe $12,000 game featuring the music of Elton John,” Schell said.

In honor of the 10th anniversary, the daily fee will be reduced from $15 to $10 on June 19.
