For the second day in a row, a truck with an oversized load struck an interstate overpass, leading to road and lane closures.

Virginia State Police responded to an overturned truck on Interstate 95 northbound at the 80 mile marker near Hermitage Road in Richmond today at 1:02 p.m.

The landscaping truck, hauling two oversized tree stumps, struck the Lakeside Avenue overpass. The driver was transported to VCU Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Their name has not been released.

One additional vehicle sustained damage from roadway debris from the crash.

All northbound lanes remain blocked due to the weight of the truck and a large hydraulic fluid spill.

The Virginia Department of Transportation reports that traffic is being diverted at exit 79.

A bridge inspector is en route to assess the damage to the overpass.
