The Altria Theater in Richmond will host Kamala Harris on Feb. 2 for a 7 p.m. conversation in partnership with Fountain Bookstore.

Harris was the first woman vice president and poised to be the first woman president, after Joe Biden decided under pressure not to seek re-election in 2024, giving her just over 100 days to secure the votes to assume the nation’s top job.

Former president Donald Trump, despite trailing in almost every national poll, eventually went on to win the 2024 election over Harris. Trump received 49.81 percent of the popular vote; Harris received 48.34 percent of the popular vote.

Since her shocking loss, Harris has mostly stepped back from the spotlight until recently.

While the upcoming events are billed as part of her 107 Days tour, it seems that her pitch to Americans may be about more than selling copies of her book; it could be to gauge her future with voters in the Democratic party.

“A Conversation with Kamala Harris” events are scheduled in 2026 in several key battleground states: North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin. Harris lost all seven swing states in 2024, but Biden won six of them in 2020.

The events give her a platform to share her views on Trump’s unpopular tariffs, the National Guard deployment to U.S. cities and his seemingly unchecked executive power. Recently, Harris said that Trump is both “incompetent” and “unhinged.”

Though she has said she will not run for governor of California next year, she has not announced her plans for the 2028 presidential election. Most national polling have four people listed as frontrunners for the 2028 Democratic nomination: Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, former South Bend mayor and U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Rep. Alexandria “AOC” Ocasio-Cortez (New York).

As far as the book in concerned, Harris told CNN that it wasn’t written for nostalgic purposes; she said she wanted to contextualize the moment and think “about where we have to go” as a party. The Richmond event will share allow Harris to share her thoughts on how to chart an alternative vision for the United States.

According to the event description, she will also talk about her life story, her historic presidential campaign, the experiences that have shaped her personal philosophies and her path to finding purpose that she also shared in her book.

Released on Sept. 23, 107 Days currently ranks #10 on the Amazon charts.

Tickets for the Altria Theater event range from $76.90 to $166.70 and will be offered for presale beginning on Thursday, Dec. 11. Public sales begin on Dec. 12. You may also add-on a copy of her book ($52.60 each) or a meet-and-greet package ($400.62 additional per person).
