Richmond: 44-year-old victim identified following shooting on Redd Street

A man is dead following a shooting on Thursday on Redd Street in Richmond.

The victim, Shaun Sullivan, 44, died at an area hospital after being treated for an apparent gunshot wound, according to the Richmond Police Department.

At 12:56 a.m., officers were called to the 1900 block of Redd Street for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found an adult male, Sullivan, down on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid before the individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No further details were provided.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
