UVa. hasn’t lost in more than a month, stands at 14-1 in the ACC, a game-and-a-half over second-place Syracuse, and the Cavs still can’t crack the Top 10 in either national poll.
Virginia (23-5, 14-1 ACC) is 11th in the USA Today coaches poll and 12th in the associated press poll, both released Monday.
Syracuse (25-2, 12-2 ACC) is fourth in both polls after losing both its game last week, 62-59 to unranked Boston College at home and 66-60 at Duke (22-6, 11-4 ACC), which is sixth in the AP poll and seventh in the coaches poll after a 2-1 week that included a win at Georgia Tech and a loss at North Carolina.
UNC (20-7, 10-4 ACC) re-entered the polls at 19 in the AP poll and 21 in the coaches poll.
UVa. hosts Miami (14-13, 5-9 ACC) on Wednesday and then gets Syracuse in Charlottesville on Saturday.
