A warrant has been issued in relation to a 15-year-old rape case under investigation in Augusta County.
Steven Michael Mullins, 42, of 256 Fishersville Road, Apt. 102, Fishersville, is wanted in connection with the alleged 1994 rape, which was reported to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 29.
The victim, now living in Arkansas, was 15 at the time of the alleged offense.
The sheriff’s office said Mullins packed his belongings and fled his apartment in Fishersville on Monday. He is described as a white male, 6-2, 230 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
He is believed to be driving a 2001 Maroon Cadillac Deville DTS four-door sedan bearing Virginia license plates XVU-8902.
If Mullins or his vehicle is spotted, please do not attempt to take action, but call police immediately.
