2016The top Republican presidential contenders have slight leads over Hillary Clinton and two other top Democratic presidential contenders according to new polling data from Quinnipiac University.

Clinton polls the best of the top three Democrats in the race for the White House, but she trails each of the top three GOP contenders in the polling released on Wednesday.

Clinton trails Florida Sen. Marco Rubio by a 43-41 margin, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush by a 43-40 margin and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker by a 42-39 margin.

Vice President Joe Biden trails Rubio and Walker by 45-41 margins, and Bush by a 45-40 margin. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders trails Rubio 44-36, Walker 44-37 and Bush 46-36.

“Hillary Clinton’s numbers have dropped among voters in the key swing states of Colorado, Iowa and Virginia. She has lost ground in the horserace and on key questions about her honesty and leadership,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

The polling gives Clinton a negative net favorability rating among Virginia voters – 41 percent viewing her favorably, and 50 percent viewing her unfavorably. Bush (43 percent favorable, 39 percent unfavorable), Rubio (36 percent favorable, 27 percent unfavorable) and Walker (36 percent favorable, 26 percent unfavorable) are all above water by that measure.
