Pedestrian injured in Augusta County crash

augusta countyAt 5:57 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 5) Virginia State Police Sr. Trooper G.D. McCoy Jr. responded to a crash in the community of Greenville.

A 1997 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling south on Route 11/Lee Jackson Highway near Graham Street when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old male from Greenville, Va., was flown to UVA Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Silverado, a 38-year-old male from Steeles Tavern, Va., was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
