Tampa Bay is warming up to the role of spoiler, taking down Baltimore for the second time in three days with a 5-2 win on Saturday in Camden Yards.
Orioles starter Chris Tillman (16-6, 3.72 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) was staked to an early 2-9 lead, but took the loss, giving up three runs on four hits in five and two-thirds, striking out six and walking one.
The loss drops the O’s (81-67) three games behind Boston in the AL East.
Baltimore maintains a three-game lead on Detroit, Houston and Seattle in the race for the second AL wild-card spot.
