lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesAn eighth-inning two-run Adam Jones single pushed the go-ahead run across for Baltimore in a 4-3 win over Tampa Bay Thursday night.

With the win, Baltimore (72-74) moves to within five games of the second wild-card spot in the American League playoff chase with 16 games to play.

The O’s rallied for four runs in the eighth, all with two out. Steve Clevenger and Manny Machado hit back-to-back RBI singles off Rays reliever Alex Colome (6-5, 3.81 ERA) before the Jones single.

Chaz Roe (4-2, 3.35 ERA) got the win in relief for the Orioles, and Darren O’Day recorded his third save with a perfect bottom of the ninth.
