Dylan Bundy and the usual suspects in the Baltimore bullpen made an early outburst stand up in a 6-3 Orioles win over Boston on Tuesday night.
Bundy (9-5, 3.88 ERA, 1.39 WHIP) gave up three runs on six hits in five and a third innings, striking out four and walking three.
The O’s bullpen gave up three hits in three and two-thirds scoreless innings, with Zach Britton (42 saves/42 save opportunities, 0.63 ERA, 0.84 WHIP) nailing down the save in the ninth.
J.J. Hardy (9), Nolan Reimold (6) and Jonathan Schoop (24) each homered for Baltimore (79-65), which moves into a second-place tie in the AL East with Toronto, both teams two games back of the Red Sox (81-63).
The O’s and the Jays each have a two-game lead on Detroit and the New York Yankees for the two AL wild-card spots.
