Ohio woman arrested for blocking access to Mountain Valley Pipeline

An Ohio woman was arrested during a protest in which activists tried to block access to the Mountain Valley Pipeline in Montgomery County on Wednesday.

Elsa McLaughlin Schlensker, 25, of Cleveland, was taken into custody without incident, according to Virginia State Police.

Schlensker had suspended herself on a tripod to block access to Yellow Finch Road early Wednesday morning.

Schlensker was charged with obstructing the free passage of another.
