ODU football game vs. UMass moved to Friday night

oduDue to the expected impact of Hurricane Matthew this weekend, the Old Dominion vs. Massachusetts football game at Foreman Field at SB Ballard Stadium has been moved to Friday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m.

The game is ODU’s 51st consecutive sellout. However, with the change in the game date and time, some fans and students may not be able to attend. General admission tickets in the North end zone will continue to be sold through the ODU ticket office and offered to students who would like to attend Friday’s game. Fans can click here for ticket information.  The Constant Center box office is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Tailgate lots will open at 5:30 p.m., two and a half hours hours before kickoff.  The stadium gates will open at the normal 90 minutes prior to kickoff. The End Zone Complex will open two hours prior to kickoff.

If your tailgate spot is located in an area that is subject to flooding, you will have the opportunity to relocate to the Monarch Village tailgate lot on Hampton Boulevard, the Yellow Parking Garage located on 43rd and Elkhorn, or one of the parking garages adjacent to the Ted.  Please note that if you relocate to the Monarch Village Lot or Yellow Garage, you will still need to present a valid ODAF parking pass.

Broadcast coverage of the game will begin at 7 p.m. on the ODU Sports Radio Network and can be heard on ESPN Radio 94.1 in Hampton Roads, Sports FM 100.5 in Richmond and WLVA 94.1 and FOX Sports 580 in Lynchburg.

The game will be televised on CUSA.TV.

The ODU home men’s soccer game scheduled for Friday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. against Florida Atlantic has been postponed. A makeup date has yet to be determined.
