LurayPageFreePress.com, a service of Augusta Free Press LLC, debuted with its first news posted to the website on Saturday, March 3.

The website provides news on local government, schools, business and events in and around Luray and Page County.

In addition to providing local news, LurayPageFreePress.com provides marketing, public-relations, web- and graphic-design and video-production services to businesses and organizations in the Luray-Page region.

“We’re excited to be able to offer this new service to residents of Luray-Page,” said Chris Marston, the editor and general manager of LurayPageFreePress.com, who brings more than 20 years of successful management experience of partners, subcontractors and clients in a variety of fields – from food and beverage to the construction industry to federal contracting initiatives – to the effort.

Marston is a lifelong resident of Page County and wishes to use his extensive experience in various fields to help bring a little of the outside world to Page County and to take a little of Page County to the outside world.

Marston is a 1992 graduate of the University of Virginia where he worked in the Sports Promotions and Sports Information offices. Since returning home, he has worked with local high school athletics, youth recreation, Boy Scouts, community theater and youth-theater projects.

Marston also ventured into small-business ownership, served as executive director of a 501(c)3 non-profit education foundation and directs the efforts of a local food ministry through Christ Episcopal Church.

“We’re extremely fortunate to have someone with Chris’ abilities and talents and lifelong ties to the Luray-Page community heading up our team,” said Chris Graham, the president of Augusta Free Press LLC, which is based in Waynesboro.

Founded in 2002, Augusta Free Press LLC operates a successful long-running news website, AugustaFreePress.com, in addition to managing web, marketing and PR efforts for clients in the Shenandoah Valley, Washington, D.C., and Hollywood.

The Luray Page Free Press is online at www.luraypagefreepress.com.
