Nelson County: 39-year-old woman dead in single-vehicle crash on Route 60

A fatal single-vehicle crash in Nelson County early Sunday morning killed the driver, a 39-year-old woman.

Porsche Christinia Vaughn, of Gladstone, died at the scene. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle, according to Virginia State Police.

The crash occurred on Route 60, approximately one-half mile east of Tye River Road at 12:40 a.m.

Vaughn was traveling eastbound on Route 60, when she ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

She was wearing her seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
