nationals_logoA two-run eighth-inning rally lifted the Washington Nationals to a 5-4 win over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday afternoon at Nationals Park.

The win completes a weekend sweep of the Braves, and gives Washington 10 wins in its last 12 games, a stretch that started in Atlanta when the Nats rallied from an early 9-1 deficit to win 13-12 on April 28.

Sammy Solis (1-0) vultured the win with a scoreless inning of relief in the top of the eighth before the rally in the bottom half of the inning.

Ian Desmond led off the bottom of the eighth off Atlanta closer Cody Martin (1-2) with a single. Jayson Werth walked, and then Bryce Harper popped out to short. Ryan Zimmerman followed with an RBI single, and Wilson Ramos gave the Nationals the lead with a two-out RBI double.

Drew Storen pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his ninth save.
