Nationals pound out 23 hits in 16-4 win at Tampa Bay

nationals_logoA six-run second set the tone for an outburst by the Nationals, who pounded out 23 hits in a thumping 16-4 win over Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Bryce Harper hit his 22nd home run of the season, and Danny Espinosa had five hits for Washington. Clint Robinson was 4-for-5 with his second homer of the season, and Wilson Ramos hit two homers, a solo shot in the eighth and a three-run bomb in the ninth.

Tanner Roark (3-2) was the beneficiary of the offensive onslaught, going seven innings, giving up a run on six hits, striking out four and walking one.
