Tanner Roark threw seven scoreless innings, and Stephen Drew and Jayson Werth homered, leading the Washington Nationals to a 3-0 win over the Atlanta Braves Wednesday night.
Roark (1-1) gave up four hits, struck out four and walked three. Jonathan Papelbon gave up a hit in a scoreless ninth to notch his fifth save.
Drew and Werth each homered in the fourth, the first long ball of 2016 for each.
The Nationals improve to 6-1 on the season.
