Virginia State Police: Multiple injuries in crash on Interstate 95 south of Richmond

Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash on Interstate 95 south of Richmond on Wednesday, with several injuries.

According to Virginia State Police, a disabled vehicle stopped in the left lane was struck at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, triggering a chain reaction involving five vehicles, including a tractor-trailer.

The left lane remains blocked as of 2:45 p.m. Wednesday as crews work to remove a vehicle from underneath the tractor-trailer. Motorists should expect delays and use caution in the area.

The crash remains under investigation.
