Update: Missing, endangered Augusta County man located

Update: Wednesday, 5:56 a.m. Authorities have located Gino Antoni Bortone and report that he is safe.

 

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance with locating a missing man who was last seen at his Staunton home on Tuesday at noon.

Gino Antoni Bortone, 74, has been diagnosed with dementia and is required to take medication.

He is 5’8”, 155 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing dark blue pants, a light blue shirt and brown shoes.

Bortone left his home in a 2017 white, four-door Toyota Tacoma with Virginia registration UVC-9282

Bortone is entered into the missing persons database as missing, endangered.
