Minsterial wives’ group to feed homeless

The Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Alliance of the Charlottesville & Vicinity will be hosting a breakfast for the homeless on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 9 a.m. at the United Methodist Church at 489 N. Winchester Ave., Waynesboro.

The group aims to serve at least 45-50 people and to contribute canned good to the food pantry.

The Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Alliance was organized in 1973. Our mission is unite ministers’ wives and ministers’ widows of all religious denominations, in order to foster a closer relations, to strengthen our spiritual and intellectual resources and to engender a spirit of common fellowship in our churches and community.

The alliance encompasses the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa, Powhatan and the cities of Charlottesville and Waynesboro.
