Military Appreciation Program returns to Richmond International Raceway

RIRlogoThe men and women of the United States Military are some of the most caring and selfless people out there. It takes a special person to lay their life on the line in order for others to stay safe and live free. We can enjoy the freedom of attending races and cheering on our favorite drivers because of these men and women.

Richmond International Raceway is continuing to show our appreciation for these men and women, and their families by partnering with Navy Federal Credit Union to bring the Military Appreciation Program back for the 2016 April weekend. Any current or former military members are invited to participate in the program.

For NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, military members, veterans and their families will receive a complimentary Pre-Race Pit Pass and admission to the Military Hospitality area presented by Navy Federal Credit Union with each ticket bought. For NASCAR XFINITY Series races, service men and women can purchase a $10 General Admission ticket. And, kids 12 & younger are admitted FREE in General Admission areas to all NASCAR XFINITY Series races.

“Supporting all the men and women who serve in the military is key to all of us here at RIR,” said Dennis Bickmeier, President of Richmond International Raceway. “By Navy Federal coming on board with us, we are now able to provide NASCAR fans who serve in the military the chance to experience racing at RIR. It’s just a small thank you for all they have done for us.”

This is a new partnership between RIR and Navy Federal. Dedicated to serving military members and their families, Navy Federal is focused on supporting them in every area of their life. A company that started in 1933 with seven members has grown to include over 5 million members. With an already strong desire to honor service men and women, Navy Federal has taken their support to another level with the help of RIR.

“Navy Federal is proud to honor our service men and women by supporting the Military Appreciation Program at Richmond International Raceway,” said Member Acquisition Manager Wayne Truxillo. “NASCAR fans serving in the military will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique, first class experience at one of the nation’s premier racetracks.”
