The Cavaliers have at least three selections to the NCAA Singles Championship for the ninth consecutive season, the longest active streak in the nation. Virginia has at least one seeded player in the singles draw for the 11th consecutive season, also the longest active streak in the nation.

Shane, the defending NCAA singles champion, is the No. 8 seed and is making his third-consecutive appearance in the tournament. Kwiatkowski, a second-team All-ACC honoree, earned a 9-16 seed after amassing a 31-7 singles record, including a 9-2 conference mark and a pair of victories in the ACC Championship. In the fall, Kwiatkowski won both the singles and doubles titles at the ITA All-American tournament, becoming the first player since 2009 and fourth in the history of the ITA Men’s All-American to win both titles in the same year.

Altamirano, a second-team All-ACC honoree, will be competing in his first NCAA Singles Championship.Altamirano compiled a 23-4 record in singles this spring, including going 13-2 at No. 2 singles.

In doubles, Shane and Corinteli are the tournament’s No. 4 seed and are making their second-straight trip to the doubles championship. The duo is 16-6 in doubles including a 13-6 record at No. 1. Kwiatkowski and Styslinger, who won the ITA All-American doubles championship in the fall, are 24-7 in doubles this season, including going 17-4 at No. 2 this spring.

The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 25-30 at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, following the conclusion of the team championship, which runs from May 19-24.  The University of Tulsa will serve as host.

All matches shall be the best-of-three sets.  No-ad scoring and a 7-point tiebreaker at six-games-all will be used for all matches. In doubles, a 10-point match tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set.
